Like I say the Law don't mean anything to you.Makes a person wonder what other Laws even Game Laws mean to you.

When did dogs become game!:blink: I must have missed that somewhere. I don't quiet see how dealing with problem dogs leads to a discussion of breaking game laws or any other law for that matter. At any rate you don't have to worry about me I am not out to specifically break laws or hurt anyone, or to take more than my fair/legal share but I will defend my person, family and property and I will continually and vigorously defend my right to do so. Aside from that the intent of game laws was to protect game from over harvest; not to make it illegal to defend person or property against destructive or dangerous animals.

I would rather be fishin'.

Actually, In missouri , as a landowner, outside the city limits, you may blast away a dog if it is on your property.

Wether it is threatning or not. Most people arent that callous but Legally.....

This stems back to issues in northern missouri, where dumped/stray dogs were running in packs back in the early 80s. The issue was resolved with a shoot on sight mentality but only on your own property. Old timers today still consider it a matter -as -fact.

Seems to me you was telling everyone you would shoot any Dog if it was causing problems or not.

Oh well tierd of wasting my time on this.I have nothing more to say.

Ahhhh.....Come on OneShot!

I was just warming up. Let me go on and give all the reasons why a dog needs to be shot.

I feed 15 dogs at any givin time.

So do my neighbors.

We know we let our dogs run and we all take care of each others dogs. For the most part they are like kids running around the hood. We know it and all our dogs come home at night(for the most part), and we chuckle about them doing stupid stuff as well as we tickle about the fact all the girls(including mine) are fixed so we dont have to worry about puppys.

We all agree that if the dog is a threat it is DEAD!

As far as the law not meaning nothing to me? A law is nothing but a rule. All rules can be negotiated for a certain situtation.

I will kill you if you gave me a good reason too. And my Lawyer will make sure to prove my justification since your no longer innocent until proven guilty.

Society isnt a set of right and wrong. It is of ethics and of those that dont have any. As much as I repect our judicial system I have no faith in those that advocate it. The LAW and its supporters are either self serving or not sympathetic to human apathy. It is flawed and with that fact evident a man has to operate between rightious and reality.

When in Rome works great but you dont have to conform. Just dont get caught and you wont have to be strung up. Disrespect for the Law?

I can move between the law and still have respect from those that vow to uphold it.

Ok my situation.I'm not one to shoot Dogs,if I have a problem with a Dog I find the owner and tell them.If someone is having a problem with my Dogs I expect them to tell me.

Years ago I lived in a small community that you could have animals. But they did have Dog Catcher and Animal Shelter if your Dog was caught running they would catch it and you would pay a fine.

Well I had a AR person living next to me.I had couple Dogs in a Pen.Every time I would leave the house she would come over let my Dogs lose.I put a lock on the Gate, she distroyed the Gate. The Law knew what was going on.

Well at the same time I turned couple Guys on the City Council in for Poaching, they got caught and fined.Well I left the girl let my Dogs out.The Guys on City Council took them out and shot them.I found out from the Chife of Police.Took them to Court they paid for my Dogs.

Then had another neighbors Dog getting into my Chickens and Rabbits.I told them about it,they didn't do anything.I took pictures of the Dogs going this.Told them I was either going to take them to Court or they could pay damages. They paid me.

Now where I live now I have had problems with Dogs in the past I go tell their owners. They tell me to shoot them.I tell them I would prefer they take care of it.Well one of them had a store in town.Come to find out one of their Dogs had been shot and made it home,so they paid out a bunch to the Vet to fix it.Well they thought I did it and they were mad at me even though they told me to shoot it.I went and told them I didn't shoot it.they said well we kind of figured if you had shot it it would be dead.

I have to Dogs,I keep them in the yard, but they do slip out the Door every so often. They run just over to the neighbors property line and back home.Five minutes.Their good Dogs and I would be very mad if someone shot them just for being on their property.

I can sympathize with your dilehma. When dogs get used as pawns in personal attacks it can get ugly in a hurry.

Nobody wants to shoot a pet. And I do try to communicate before acting. But I have no qualms about it. And I have only shot dogs for one of 3 reasons. One, to put it down to be humane. Two, If it habitually(more than once) kills other pets or livestock(chickens, rabbits, ect.) and Three, if it is maliciously vicious towards human life.

What I do have issues with, is people who get dogs and keep them tied up or caged. I for one will not own a dog if I had to do that. Now you do run a risk of someone being less than pleased with your free running pet, and they can get themselves into trouble, but a dog worth anything will be trainable and can be taught boundaries and restraint.

In the past I have had a dog picked up by animal control, Lost one on the highway, and had another came home gut-shot. In hiensight, The one that got picked up was a doofus and had a reputation for doing most anything for tablescraps, The one that got ran over on the highway was 16 years old and was about 80% deaf and blind in one eye so he probably didnt see it coming(literally), and the one that came home with a deer slug in his gut was a deer runner (a bad trait I couldnt get him to shake) and I am sure he rousted some deer under the scope of a hunter in a stand. In wich I would have shot him myself. Anyway, considering those odds, I have had very little trouble. And most dogs are harmless and dont merit the extreme of being eliminated. If you train your pets correctly and express to them love and consideration(and lots of milk bones), they are content to stay on property and hunt at night. Of course, I live in a rural area and my neighbors are limited so it is less likely to ruffle feathers than if I were to live in town.
