I would pay for it. Bill has helped me in many ways and I have never spoken to him. I hope I can one day save the money and have the honor of sharing a boat with him.

Keep your chin up, Bill. We appriciate your great advice, stories, and pictures.

Thank you everyone who makes this site possible. The wealth of info available here gives us more than a running start to a good day on the Rock. Thank you again.

Do you think if we posted the mailing addresses for Bill and others they'd get money? Just a thought.

I understand the desire to pay for good information, inside info right off the water, so to speak. It is valuable to everyone and appreciated by most. But then there's the twisted minds who are self-centered, into fishing just for the win. All you guys, if I could, I ban you from reading the forum but I can't, not yet. But just wait. And yes- we all know you're reading this.

When Bill told me about the calls, I told him to go back and delete his phone number from the forum. I'll double check and see that he did. It's sad but true that we can't be open with things like that but we can't.

Wow this is an interesting topic. I am not sure I would send in money if you posted an address. I appreciate the information, and if I ever get any I try to share it back. Last year I was able to scrape enough together to get a couple of guides to train me in the skill of fishing a bit. One guide was Babbler. I had an awesome time with him. Even better is that he trained me like I requested. He didn't take me out and throw a live minnow on my hook. He showed me a little bit about what to look for on the banks and some other valuable tips. My fishing improved 1000%. The second guide did not listen as well to my request, but he doesn't post on here anyway. If I win the powerball I would send Babbler some money for info. As I have said many times on this forum...a guide even for a half day is well worth the money. If you are coming to Table Rock for a week of vacation, then you might as well spend a bit more for a half day guide and make the trip a bit more successful.

I am one of the folks who called Babbler. I had his number from last year though. I asked him if he would speak to a Dare Officer about setting up a fishing event for challenged kids next year. Babbler spent well over twenty minutes speaking with Officer Forgey about some ideas and gave him some other resources (such as Phil).

I apologize for using your number, Bill. I guess I should have dropped you an email first and seen when would be a good time. I know that time is money. I know because you told me when we were fishing.

Thanks for all of the information everyone shares. It is a huge help for me to know there is no reason to go to Aunt's Creek to launch my boat. It saves me valuable fishing time looking for a ramp. There are times I don't fish, because I need to wait for a pay check to fill up the truck and boat. I get to fish a smidge more often because folks are willing to share information.

I guess what I am saying is that the only way I can repay the guides on here is by booking trip or two a year, and recommending them to everyone I know. The only way I can repay the other folks is by sharing information back

And many thanks to all.

T. You Big dummy. Your not the problem. You call me anytime you want for any reason.

Really, I probably over reacted a bit, but the calls were totally unreasonable. What's worse they called the lodge on our 800 number for fishing information. My, wife being the sweet gal she is gave lots of the house calls my cell phone, thinking they were potential clients.

By about noon, she called and said what in the heck is going on? I told her it was just going to be one of those days.

You Know, If I would have gotten some of the less demanding calls in the evening after I was off the water, I would have tried to help a little more. I just did not have the time. The fishing was taking all my attention.

That's another point for guide info, or to book a trip with me, It really helps if you will just call Lilleys'. or Becky here at the lodge. The girls in the office can set it up and that way I can devote my time to the clients I have in the boat. If you book your trip and then wish to call and visit about the fishing, usually between 6 and 9 in the evenings are great.

As far as any further info than what I post here, I have to be very careful, as most of you know, I have a huge guide network. These guys are all my best friends and we talk all day and try and put clients on fish. We discuss patterns depths, and locations.

Most of these other guides fish tournaments, and I will not ever discuss any information pertaining to that. If Donnie, Phil, Eric, Buster, Tim, Bill, Chris, Pete, SKMO, Eric or any of the boys are on something particular, you will only get that info. from them. I throw SK in there, cause he lives in his boat, and is a fishing machine.

We are here to have fun and help a little bit if we can. Love all you guys, and wish I could fish with everyone of ya.

That's a nice idea Phil, but i figure the same people who are calling demanding info would just start writing Bill letters demanding info. Thats just the way those kind of people are. They want everything handed to them.

That right there is the whole idea of this forum!

If everyone just came here for the sole purpose to GET information and not GIVE any, the pages would be blank.

This or any forum is only as good as the information on it and that means anglers sharing information.

THAT is why this forum is so successful. I have very, VERY little to do with it.

I know that I dont go near as much as some of the guys on here, so i cant help as much as id like. but when i do i post it, giving all info i think is helpful. A good fisherman can use it probably better than i did even when it was happening to me... :P . hope this negitivity turns into a running joke and doesnt effect the forum in a bad manner. Thanks again to all that help me catch some fish when I only get to go once a week.

Whoa... wait a minute Bill. Don't throw me in the same group with you guide guys who are all accomplished liars and prone to exaggerate. I have never done that.

And I definitely do not "Live in My Boat".... yet another lie and exaggeration. FYI This Spring Brenda had the stove and fridge removed from the Skeeter and put back into the house. An inconvenience to me but gives me more room for the backswing on my bush-flipping move so I am looking on the bright side. Last I noticed she did leave the cot and sleeping bag onboard and was filling the live wells with canned goods so I think I have things worked out nicely. She said she would talk to me "later" about all the details.... by which I assume she means we will talk post-spawn when we are both less busy.

I too called Bill, but not on that day he is speaking of. I called to make sure the lake was fishable and a person could launch. That was the day it was coming up pretty fast. I appreciate Bill and his info. I too try to post what I do, although my results pale in comparison to Bill Babler and Bill Beck and the other guides. I too will not call again, just so as not to get in the way. Thanks again Bill, you are a class act.
