TroutRinger Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 Nice job...that kind of stuff really angers me...Even if most are smallmouth, I believe (and correct me if I am wrong) the limit for smallmouth on that section of river is 1. snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 22, 2008 Posted June 22, 2008 I think you're right, the limit is one smally up there. I bet Al can confirm it for sure. Again, good job. SIO3
Bman Posted June 22, 2008 Author Posted June 22, 2008 Bman, You need to email this guy the pictures and let him know you took the pics and all the details: Aaron.Pondrom@mdc.mo.gov He is VERY interested and wanted to thank you for your help. He is a south-central MO game warden I know. Thanks for the advise, I have sent an email to this man with pics. Thank you members for your comments. Bruce The only good line is a tight line
Members little bronzie Posted June 22, 2008 Members Posted June 22, 2008 No live bait can be used in this red ribbon area. This is not a smalllmouth management area so you can take more than one. Good job getting pics.
cwc87 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 This person is Paul Boyer from the Jeff City area. It looks like he has a limit (6) smallmouth. However, if he was using live minnows or catching trout and cleaning them in this red ribbon area. Means he was a violator. This person has eaten more smallmouth in the crawford county area than anyone person I know. He camps out for 3 straight weeks and hits about every puddle on the upper Huzzah, Courtois, and Meramec. I've tried to convince him to catch and release but he likes eating them (smallmouth bass). Which is his legal right if methods are legal. I have pressed and pressed for regulations (creel limits, lenght limits, live bait) but to no avail. I truly beleive that minnow fisherman can clean stretches of small ozark streams out if they chose to do so. Today he finally left crawford county and the smallmouth (that are left) are smiling!!!!!!
drew03cmc Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Hm, so you know him? Has he been reported to Crawford Cty authorities? Andy
