twosets Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Really good Stuff, Phil. Glad that you included evidence that you did not catch a fish on every cast, although it seemed at first that you might. Also glad that you were not fishing off a stranger's dock I thought that the video and camera work was just fine. Wish I wasn't so busy at work, that looks like a lot of fun. All the best to your family George "This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules."
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 9, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted December 9, 2008 Very frustrated with the quality of the video online. Everything I try doesn't better the quality. Anyone- any suggestions? Made with iMovie. I have Final Cut Express coming this week.
DoveTail Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Nice video. Looked like it was hard to demonstrate "how to jig" at first catching them before you could work the jig. I'm not sure how you can make an online video higher quality. YouTube and other online videos are compressed so dialup connections can view them and to just save bandwidth. Most do become very digital and the quality is lost. When you play the original on a high resolution TV it looks like you are there in person.
duckydoty Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Nice video Phil. I liked the statement at the beginning "The gravel here is bottom". I thought that was rather humorous A microphone attached to you might help with sound quality. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 9, 2008 Author Root Admin Posted December 9, 2008 I heard that after the fact- you know my mind runs backwards sometimes. I have a hard enough time with cameras pointed at me, speaking at them is worse. That would be my next purchase- a camera with an external mic jack. This camera doesn't have one.
Members hookinear Posted December 10, 2008 Members Posted December 10, 2008 Nice video. The sound was a little iffy at times but overall it was very good. It really makes me a little mad bc i live in southern illinois and its a nice stroll down to Taney. I cant wait until i can come back down and fish some more. Hookinear
rainbow Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Phil, it is a good video and for someone not familiar with the technique it would be very helpful. The sound was pretty good and it was probably a little more difficult without someone working a camera. Keep this up and look out TV fishing shows Cap'n Phil is on the air.
back2roots Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Okay....I must be the village idiot..... Where is the video link? ....;-} Bill If you liked the sound....Thank the engineer!
