laker67 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Laker, Everyone knows your hand is up for big fish!!!! Mine too!! My biggest rainbow is maybe a 1/20th of that thing! 1/20th??? I think you need to re-calculate Murdoc. Or was that zero not supposed to be there? My guess would be more like 1/4th. Reckon BSSP will have any raceway turn outs that size?
Bill Babler Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 That Rainbow needs to go to the Naknek River for a workout. He would loose some of that gut working the current for a living, and I'm sure he would feel much better about himself http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
taxidermist Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 The only trout with a handicapped plate on it tail.
Gavin Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 No kidding...that sucker needed a workout or a gastric bypass to correct its eating disorder...What was that couch potato raised on? Pellets, guts, or MickeyD's?
Members Captain Kirk Posted February 26, 2009 Members Posted February 26, 2009 BIG lure, BIG fish.....
perchjerker Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Im thinking if we can have triploid squids in Taney, why not triploid trout ? The only drawback would be casting a 3 lb. triploid scud on my 5 wt. WHAT A GIANT FISH !!!!!
Members KS - Rhino Posted March 1, 2009 Members Posted March 1, 2009 I just broke him off, did he still have a bead head pheasant tail in his lip?
laker67 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I was just looking through my mar/april issue of international angler. Adam Konrad in the pictures above with the 43+ pound world record fish, just set another line class record with a 40 pound 10 ounce triploid rainbow. We gotta get some of these triploids in Taney.
vanven Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 It is a shame that the records are being tainted by these fish. They don't naturally occur and are genetically altered, hence they shouldn't be counted. These guys have found a loophole in the regulations and are exploiting them to stack up world records. It is a pitty. It would be the same as a hunter growing a giant hog and releasing it on his fenced land then shooting it and claiming a world record. Don't get me wrong I would love to catch one.
