Gilly Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Working on a '36 Ford sedan 2 door humpback. Doors are suicided, hump is trimmed off and laid in, chassis is done (Fatman, Pete & Jakes, 4-wheel discs). I'm stuck on the body right now. Was going to do a mild chop but after laying the hump in the new look is growing on me. Been working on it forever and my tastes are changing. Originally started out wanting a nice billet cruiser but leaning towards an old school sleeper.....looks old but everything you can't see is updated. Geez, I resemble that..........kinda..........okay, not really. www.drydock516.com
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I can appreciate what you do Cricket, but that thing isn't ever going to be a classic SIO3
Members Jack Hollister Posted February 22, 2011 Members Posted February 22, 2011 I have a 1961 Chevy Impala 2 door bubble top. This car was bought by my dad in Dec. of 1960. He worked at Fisher Body at the time it was built. He worked 2nd shift and had the choice for it to come down the line on 2nd shift so he could see it. My first car ride ever was in this car....it brought me home from the hospital when I was born. Later, when I was 16, I took my drivers test in it. Still have the car today. Lots of memmories. It doesnt run anymore. I keep saying, some day, I will get to restore it. Some day just never seems to come. But its something I could never part with. And yes....thats me and my sister in about 1969.
FishinCricket Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 LS1, JD... I can appreciate what you do Cricket, but that thing isn't ever going to be a classic SIO3 Funny, people said the same thing about the Early 70's Mopar products too... Guess their crystal ball lied to them.. cricket.c21.com
