ozark trout fisher Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Yes both pics are of the same track, just different angles. No I don't see cause to "alert the media", I know that there are a few bears around here and we used to see tracks alot when I lived in Georgia but they looked more like oversized cat tracks (probably the front foot) and I saw what I'm pretty sure was a small black bear near Mill creek here in MO. several years ago. I was just kinda shook over the size of it at first....but I think the sand exaggerates that somewhat. I saw a black bear in Peck Ranch conservation area near Winona, MO. Seen lots of tracks and scat too. The Peck Ranch area is known for having some of the highest bear concentrations in Missouri, mostly due to its mountainous terrain and remoteness.
Danimal Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 I think what we may have here is a bears' hindprint and foreprint overlapping each other. If you look very close at the photo you can see what looks like toes within the print itself. Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
KCRIVERRAT Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Saw a black bear clambor out of a tree a couple of years ago while me and a buddy were hiking the trail down to Greer Spring. Neat experience! HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
ColdWaterFshr Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Definitely not bear tracks. Those are either the prints of a North American Sasquatch, or a Boston Mountains Yeti. Did you happen to have any plaster and make a mold, Fisinwrench?

Members kayaker Posted June 16, 2009 Members Posted June 16, 2009 What kind of condition do you think the river would be in this weekend. I need a one day trip, but we got a lot of rain in KC and I don't know how much rain they got down there.

Cricket, Cricket, Cricket.......You can't be putting that kind of stuff in print. Now it's out there forever. She might hunt you down and kill you.

She might hunt you down and kill you. It's a risk I am willing to take.. That woman absolutely hates me... But thanks for the heads up... LOL (seriously, though.. It's a reference to and Eddie Murphy comedy routine as well, so I might be able to claim some kind of anonymous comedic license, er something as a defense) cricket.c21.com
