The smallies is what made me look. Since then have seen more pics of pretty good sized trout!

The kid has five trout....... this makes me think they might be coming from somewhere private or he is breaking the law (or the picture shows someone else's fish also). He's a kid, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Phil, type in "bass resort" in the search box in the upper right hand of the Facebook page. Should be the first one that comes up. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll FB im you the link.

About 10 years ago, on a very hot June float trip on the Huzzah, i floated past a family that was fishing with nightcrawlers and had stringers with several rainbow trout on them. I was shocked to see this on the Huzzah to say the least. After I got home, i looked at a map and realized that we were about a mile or so downstream of the confluence of the Dry Creek coming from Westover and the Huzzah. I assumed that they were all escaped trout from there. Was still surprised to see them alive on a 95 degree day in the Huzzah though! I think Bass Resort also services the Huzzah, so pic could be from there I guess.

I've caught some trout near the confluence of Dry Creek and the Huzzah before, just above Huzzah Valley Resort (escapees from Westover)...but I've never caught trout on the Courtois. There are lots of places with trout around that area...public stocking at Meramec, and some private stocking takes place in a couple of the private spring branches a some nearby private spring ponds. Who knows were the pictures came from or when they were taken...Call and ask. Cheers.

I've fished Courtois a lot and have never seen a trout on it. Like Gavin, I've seen and caught trout in the vicinity of Huzzah Valley, and also upstream a few miles. But I wouldn't be expecting to catch a trout on either stream. I suspect that's an old photo, probably from Westover when it was pay by the inch.
