ColdWaterFshr Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Nice fish, no doubt, but I can't help but notice how the outstretched arm makes the fish appear as long as your entire torso, an optical illusion. Not to take anything away from your fine catch. A 19 1/2 inch smallie is a beast. And congrats for releasing it.
Flysmallie Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Great fish. I would hold that one out for the world to see too. Â Â
smallmouthjoe Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I'm glad to see The James is capable of producing a fish like that. Great Fish.
Flysmallie Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I'm glad to see The James is capable of producing a fish like that. Great Fish. There are a lot of good fish in the James. That one is a beauty though. I've seen a couple in the four pound range. The James just doesn't get the respect that it deserves. It seems to get a little better each year or maybe I just get a little better at finding them each year. Â Â
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Great, itsgood to know it can produce fish like that even with the pressure. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Danimal Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Beautiful fish and good on you for releasing it!! Dan-o RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!
et84 Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Great looking fish! I've never seen a smallie that big pulled out of the James- good to know they're in there somewhere. Predator1 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Just got back from Louisiana fishing. Lots of Largemouths. Want see smallmouths down there. Thats a nice fish and nice conservation. By the look at all the threads on the forum, looks like everyone caught nice fish this weekend. Cant beat that for a fourth of July weekend.
