Al Agnew Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 The message boards on Riversmallies are now back up, but with a new address. The address is: http://riversmallies.invisionzone.com Brian King has been too busy with life issues to be all that enthused about the site for quite a while now, and has been considering either selling it or shutting it down completely. I also think he's been disappointed with the "lack of energy" and the clashes with different personalities on the site. The other staff members have also been much less active, so the site has had some problems. We'll see what happens in the near future...there ARE people who would take over the site if Brian could make a deal with them. Since the site now has a new address, it will take word of mouth to let people know about it.
ollie Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I just stopped going there because so many of the people were from the east coast that it was hard to find anyone around here that used the site. Great info there and lots of resources, but got tired of all the banter and not really knowing any of the people. It wasn't very "local" for me. Although I did find some really good people like Wayne, Ham, fishinwrench, and Jim from okieland. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Ham Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 It's funny how much the bland cosmetics bother me. It's the same site, but it feels wrong. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Ham Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Ollie have you looked at the Arkansas section of American River fishing? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted July 3, 2009 Root Admin Posted July 3, 2009 King could easily put a redirect on the http://riversmallies.com index page to the new forum site and keep his standing in the search engines at least. Al, if you know King well enough, I could help. He wouldn't know me from Adam.
