Tim Smith Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Why does this guy keep digging up old threads? Because he's interested in their content? A good conservation board runs on content... ...as opposed to say, nit-picking at individuals.
ozark trout fisher Posted August 24, 2011 Author Posted August 24, 2011 Well goodness gracious, is every old thread I ever started gonna get brought back from the dead? I don't mind, it's just kind of funny to see these old topics coming back after so long. This was two years ago. I don't even have the same beliefs on this particular issue that I had then...That is to say that I still believe essentially the same thing, that the better trout streams with high quality habitat should be managed to allow the fish grow to trophy size. But when I think about it now the idea of banning treble hooks and restricting to barbless only just seems too much like an attempt to push a certain kind of angler off the water. I don't spin fish for trout anymore, but I certainly don't think there is anything wrong with it.
Ham Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Why does this guy keep digging up old threads? Most likely because he's new. It does act as a reminder that fishing reports never go away. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Al Agnew Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Most likely because he's new. It does act as a reminder that fishing reports never go away. Yeah, I've re-read several of my old posts and thought, "Geez, did I really say that?"
stlfisher Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Just a thought, but it is possible the poster was only trying to prevent a duplicate thread on the same topic so he/she made a post to an older thread. I too find myself cringing at times when I read old post's and thinking..."man did I actually say that." I have decided I am really a much nicer guy in person.
Midwest troutbum Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Why does this guy keep digging up old threads? Sorry jim if i have offended you, I realize they are old threads, but just adding my two cent's worth on more recent observations.
