RSBreth Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I was going to say that wherever that is, I've been there, even if I haven't been there exactly.
ness Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Looks like the bend above Suicide on the Meramec John
TroutRinger Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Above Welch Spring, or below? Above I believe "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." "There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot."
hank franklin Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 Above I believe No, below. About a quarter-mile or so below Welch Landing (the canoe access, not the spring.) River splits into two channels briefly and just below there is this gravel bar.
Chief Grey Bear Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Thanks Greybear. There was nothing to taking that photo except simply being there. Which as in most photography is about 95 percent of the shot. That is just what I am talking about. I mean the quality of the photo is good but the subject.....just like you said...being there.
