Greg Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Uh I think we should take a pass on pike in Taney. That's enough to make a trout fisherman cry! And there's also this: "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"> Greg "My biggest worry is that my wife (when I'm dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it" - Koos Brandt Greg Mitchell
laker67 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I guess I missed the discussion about putting pike in taney.
Gatorjet Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 The one that ate the trout looks more like a Musky! Bigger, meaner, hungrier than a Northern pike. Didn't know they were even thinking about putting Pike in Taney. Interesting idea, but I still would be against it. A lot of things could improve fishing on Taneycomo, but not introducing new predators or genetically modified species. Real men go propless!
ohmz138 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Holy crap! I agree on that one also. Those toothy critters are fun to catch, but not in a fishery like Taneycomo.
Walleyedmike Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Looks like a hybrid muskie to me, AKA tiger muskie. A cross between a northern pike and a musky. With all those forage trout in Taney, it could become a world class pike fishery in no time! WM
eric1978 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 It might make you trout boys cry, but that was AWESOME!
