gitnby Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 They're currently running over 12,000 cfs, down from over 14,000 yesterday. Think about that! That's equivalent to 4 swimming pools (30' X 15' X 7'deep) every second!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 20, 2009 Author Root Admin Posted October 20, 2009 That's only reading turbines... it was 20,000 cfs while gates were opened, 6,000 cfs were flood gates.
dtrs5kprs Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Beaver is still rising? Anyone have input on when they will start to dump?
Spinnaker Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 I will quote Phil from his post on Upper Taney forum: "Vince told me this afternoon that the gates are not all the way off. Emailed Shane and he told me they'd slowed the flow from 20,000 cfs to 15,000, about 2100 cfs coming over the top now. He talked to COE and they said that SWPA has to get Table Rock down to 915 by December 1st (not sure why). If Table Rock gets down to 918, which it should by Thursday, they should resume "normal" generation and close the gates." Perhaps things will settle down in the next few weeks on TR. The fish will need to eat now and then, and I hope I am there when they do so with some enthusiasm. Still planning to come down early Nov.
