BredMan
I've heard that there are no naturally occurring lakes in MO. All of the MO lakes are created by damning up a river. No idea if that's true or not. That is a true statement for the state of OHIO.......that I know. Not sure about Missouri.
Wayne SW/MO
Devil's Promenade, Hornet Spook Light, and Ozark Spook light. Same light, different names from the 1800's to present. Located near Joplin. I read onetime that they figured out that it was headlights from a highway in Oklahoma, they were being reflected when the clouds and humidity were just right. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
eric1978
Ergot? Psillocybin? Peyote? That would explain the visions. Yes, the second one (peyote isn't a fungus, actually it's a cactus). But how do you explain 5 people having the same hallucination? Kinda like women that spend a lot of time together who's cycles eventually end up in synch? Don't think so. It was definitely real. wrench, I know that lightning bug larvae also glows and I've seen that before, too. But their color is more of a yellow-green. This stuff was more blue-green and really closer to blue. I think my initial guess that it was fungus was correct, and maybe it was what Buck found on the internet. Most likely it was alien poo. MaxDrown
Chad and I saw this huge black "fish" swimming around in Phillips Lake in Columbia, MO. We have no idea to this day what it was. Never seen anything like it. We call it the Phillips Lochness Monster. I have a video. -- Max Drown
FishinCricket
LOL I’m starting to think your dyslexic! Hey you never did say how it went on your catfish trip? I actually am dyslexic.. Truth be told I am actually an agnostic/insomniac/dyslexic (I lay awake all night wondering if there really is a DOG), but that's a different topic... No fish caught, did we.. Two small bass hook found ours, with spinnernaits after gave up drifting shad, we did... Clear enough? lol And to answer the other question floating above my post here somewhere, I ain't ne'er seen nothing that couldn't be explained somehow.. But I keep an open mind. Gimme another 28 years and ask me again? cricket.c21.com

laker67
I think I'm gonna close the file on this investigation into the paranormal. Next? Before you close this out, let everyone be aware that MOMO, or the boggy creek monster, is alive and well on upper taney. There has been a good population for as long as I can remember. Next time you are down for a night trip, just take a few minutes to stop and listen. You can hear him on the bank behind you, or just across the creek up in the brush. In 34 years of night fishing, I have never been attacked by one so that's a good thing in our favor. Had some close calls. The only thing that really keeps me nervous any more are the bears. Since 04 their numbers have increased ten fold on the upper end. On a dark night it is hard to tell if it is momo or a bear on the bank behind you. You have to look at the tracks to be certain. Good luck to all on your next night trip.
Wayne SW/MO
Speaking of the paranormal, where's the ghost going to live if they tear down the Riverside Inn? I wonder if FEMA will find him a place to? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
eric1978
Speaking of the paranormal, where's the ghost going to live if they tear down the Riverside Inn? I wonder if FEMA will find him a place to? I always wondered why ghosts needed a place to live. Do they get cold or something? And why do they always hang out in the same place forever? Wouldn't you be out traveling to more interesting places than your attic? I don't know...guess I'll be a more active ghost. And I'll tell you another thing, I'm gonna be scaring the HELL out of people. None of this flickering candle or shadowy figure BS....I'm talking real horror show. ness
I always wondered why ghosts needed a place to live. I always wondered why they needed an old/scary place to live. Has anybody ever seen a ghost in new construction? I also wonder why all the ghost-chasers on TLC always have the lights off and use night-vision equipment. Is it so the ghosts don't see them and hide? Hmmmm. So many questions. John
