eric1978 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 I thought Creekwader's idea about before and after pictures would be a good thread for Thanksgiving, so we can share some memories that we are thankful for. Childhood...9.25 lb flathead I caught on a firetiger crankbait! At my uncle's house at LOZ. My little sister was mad at me so she poked my face out on the picture with a thumbtack. I remember I shoved a blueberry up her nose in retaliation. A couple good fish from the awkward teenage years: This one was a couple years ago. Last year we got a virus on our old computer and lost all of our digital photos, most of which I never saved elsewhere or printed out. I was devastated. For some reason this one was printed. These aren't the greatest pictures, I know, but it's the best I could do with the scanner. I know some of you ol' boys have some much better shots from back in the day...Let's see 'em! Happy Thanksgiving all.
tippet7 Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 My dad and me fishing in PA, around 1967 or 1968 Me, a couple of years ago You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.

creek wader Posted November 29, 2009 Posted November 29, 2009 As promised here's a blast from the past. All me. It's not so much as what I'm holding more like what's holding the fish. These two were from early spring this year. ... Really showing my age, now...... wader wader
tippet7 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I bet you cherish that one with your dad, tippet. Really cool pic! I do. Dad passed away in 2002 and I miss him every single day. My dad liked that picture so much, he projected it onto a wall in our basement, traced it out and then painted a "mural" I wish I could find the very last picture taken of us fishing together, it was on Taneycomo Christmas day 2001, but his widow took it with her to IL after he died. I hate that women as much as I loved my dad. And thats a whole lot of hate!! You are so stupid you threw a rock at the ground and missed.
Members Sherwood Flycaster Posted December 1, 2009 Members Posted December 1, 2009 Cool thread. 1981- I'm 14yo in Philmont, New Mexico. I have a wad of line, a couple hooks and not much else. So, I took some fuzz and thread from a sock, tied it to one of my hooks and fashioned a pole from a branch. The creek was unbelievably small, but had a reasonable flow and there was definitely fish in there. Little did I realize at the time they were wild little brookies. And my sock fly fooled them. 1995ish- Creek down the hill from my first house. A fave of myself and Patfish, we speak often of going back there one day. Caught quite a few there back in the day. 2003- My most recent trip down to the White(with PFish of course). Gotta get back there too we do... 2005- Canada trip, Sandybeach Lake. Yup, need another trip there as well. Sept2009- Lake Alan. I totally hate takin self portraits fish pics.... Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark
fishinwrench Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Killer display by all. I bet everyone here has had a spoonbill in their living room at one time or another. Somewhere I have a pick of myself and a couple buddies sitting on the couch cleaning a huge mess of bullfrogs on our coffee table. Why we elected to undertake that task inside the house...totally escapes me. No wonder I've been divorced twice.

Why we elected to undertake that task inside the house...totally escapes me. No wonder I've been divorced twice. Didn't take a pic of me and my buddy cleaning a turkey in a motel room in Osceola. They even had a note posted to not clean fish or game in the room. Oh well... took care of the mess. Like Wrench said, why did we do that? HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
