laker67 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Wow! What a buck and a neat story. What bothers me are the people who jumped out and criticized his good fortune. Who are these people? It's the same with fishing. They surely can't be sportsmen themselves. Put in the same situation, these people would most likely lie about the outcome.

flyfishmaster Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 I'm still a bit confused about why he may get something from Boone & Crocket. The arrow is not what killed the deer. Can somebody explain this? Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!

No, I think its a great deer and story and thanks for posting with pics. Just the "opinions" left are shall we say....never mind its a family sight we have here. But this mans hunt and hit is what lead to the deers harvest. Anyone has a right to their opinion no matter how stupid. Including my own. patfish Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 I hear ya JJ. I'm not real big on the media coverage of anything these days. Do you think Google will use him and the deer in some sort of ad geared toward hunters?
eric1978 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 LA Times IMHO nuff said. To figure out the slant in comments. You have to wonder why the LA Times is covering that story anyway. I don't think they do a lot of deer hunting in Compton. i agree, if you hit it with a car you wouldnt get recognized ,bout the same. the hunter didnt kill it. Gotta kind of disagree with you here. It wasn't a clean shot and I don't know how proud I would be of the kill, but he was responsible for its death. His intention was to kill it, and ultimately that's what he did. It would still be alive had he not drawn his bow. Not exactly the same as plowing one over on the highway.
