duckydoty Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I was not out fishing this morning but I was out on Table Rock Lake. I was beautiful with all the snow coming down. Did see a few fish jumping out of the water here and there. I think they were carp. Managed to get a limit of ducks by 9 a.m. Duck hunting on Table Rock was awesome this morning! champ187xr6 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 You hunt right on the lake? Can you hunt anywhere on the lake or just certain areas?

I hunt right on the lake next to a large plot of Corps land outside of any city limits. There is Corps land all the way around the lake but if it is with in city limits of a city that does not allow hunting then you can not hunt there. Kimberling City is an example of that. You have to find a place that the ducks and geese want to be. They keep returning just about every day. Bluff areas are usually not good. Grassy gradual slopes to the water with the protection from the wind are working best for me. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

I'm sure you were beautiful with all that snow coming down but isn't that just a little bit too much info? Ha, ha just kidding! Good post. I was out there fishing on the 29th and 30th and only saw a total of 5 boats. http://www.tacklespecialty.com/

KCRIVERRAT Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 DD... tell me what kind of ducks those are, just seeing if I can remember from my old duck hunting days. A couple of drake mallards, maybe a hen too, a ruddy? canvasback? Probably not... just having fun guessing. Shot plenty of ducks in my younger days, especially woodies. Nice to meet you and your wife down at RR... KC HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
bobby b. Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Is one area better than the other - darn area?, upper end?, James? Kings? Can you give me a hint for next year? We have a weekend place on TR but live in KC - I do my duck hunting up that way. Thx
