cotterboy2007 Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I had a few years ago that broke at the bill. I sent them back to lucky craft and they sent me some replacements. Since, then I have never had any problems
joeD Posted January 27, 2010 Author Posted January 27, 2010 McSticks and Pointers were THE jerkbaits to use this past weekend and Monday. Rogues, fuggetaboutem (except the Special Edition). The bills broke on two of my brother-in-laws' Pointers. Many different colors seemed to work, but if I had to pick, I would say that the baits had to have a white bottom. Purple or anything dark on top certainly didn't hurt. A white X-Rap caught a 2# cutthroat.
joeD Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 The Max Raps look good. The bigger the better. I'll post some pictures and video with a detailed report as soon as I get some pictures sent to me. I think a shad kill might be coming soon.
BFTMASTER Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Any of you guys every use Rapala countdown in Cd-11, I kill trout on the Lower Illinois with the cd-1 through cd-7 but cd-9 and up are a little big for the size fish we have. I was wondering if maybe they sink to fast instead of suspending like the baits you guys talk of. Also when you are fishing from a boat on the white, are you pounding the bank or just drifting and casting? I was into fly fishing, but I have far to much energy and like spin fishing rapala for the action. once you figure out how the fish want it retrieved, and it seems a little different each day, the fish react. Me and a couple of buddies have a trip in Late March, so I am trying to figure I few things out. The Tackle Monkey is loose in my house.
