eric1978
Is that the one where the guy was really in Argentina with his mistress, not hiking the trail? LOL Uh, no, that one I believe is titled "How to Ruin Your Political Career and Lose Your Family at Once...Tips From a Southern Governer."
Addicted to Creeks
any of you guys read "The River of Doubt" the author escapes me but its an account of teddy Roosevelt exploring a unmapped tributary of the Amazon....pretty good stuff Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." KCRIVERRAT
any of you guys read "The River of Doubt" the author escapes me but its an account of teddy Roosevelt exploring a unmapped tributary of the Amazon....pretty good stuff Yes! I have that book. It's a great read authored by Candice Millard. Teddy was defeated in the 1912 election and was humiliated by it. He, his son Kermit, and a famous Brazilian explorer (among others) ended up mapping an un-named tributary of the Amazon. It was a one thousand mile journey. They went through hell is the best way to put it. Teddy almost commited suicide. They lost canoes and supplies to whitewater, endured starvation, were attacked by natives with poison arrows, ravaged by disease, there were drownings, and they went through a murder within their group. Pretty cool you mentioned that book... HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
Greasy B
A freind recommended River of Doubt to me a while back, I'll need to put it back on my list. I think Roosevelt returned from that trip ill and never really recovered. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Addicted to Creeks
read The Hunger Games last night in a 7 hour marathon and I can honestly say i enjoyed it more than any book i have read in the last 4- 5 years. As a twenty something that reads mostly sci fi/ fantasy books i cant remember the last time i absolutely refused to put down a book like i wouldn't stop reading this one, i finished the book at 3:30 am and had to be at work at 6 am. Worth it.. 1000x worth it. 5 stars Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water.
