Bman Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Yes, you need to try one of my new Cara Finess Jig Rods. Next time your down, I'll loan you one for the weekend and see what you think. Is that Browning a Boron? Man is it nasty down here. The weather is terrible!! Bill, I'm in the market for just this kind of rod, and I love Falcon rods. Are your rods spinning or casting? Can you tell us the model numbers? The only good line is a tight line
Gone Fishing Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 For the money, I love the Falcon Lowrider Eakins rods for lighter jigs and use the Cara McClelland rod for the big FB jigs. Nice rods.
techo Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Went to BPS to look at stuff today. I saw a Falcon Bucoo rod. Anyone have any or try one? Any reviews? Tim Carpenter
Gone Fishing Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Techo, I know it is there $100 rod everyone is trying to make. It is supposed to be a good rod. Just made alittle different and does not have the cork grips. I am also wanting some hands on reviews.
dwiebenga Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 Anyone using one of the Originals or Lowriders for Drop Shotting? What model would you recommend?
denjac Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Went into Southtown bait in Joplin this morning. They didnt have the cara finess rods. When I asked about the trade up program they said they didnt do that. I said your a Falcon dealer so whats up with that! Was told they didnt have to do anything they didnt want to do. Guess I am about done with that store, they treat me like I am going to steal somthing and I have spent hundreds of dollars in there in the past. They have been downsizing on there fishing stuff and gearing toward more hunting. Never a thank you when I do buy stuff. They think there the only game in town and can treat folks like crap! Members Bullcreek Posted February 6, 2010 Members Posted February 6, 2010 Techo I have three of the Bucco rods and I think they are hard to beat for the money. I have the 6'6" medium that I use for Spinnerbaits and Topwater, the 7' medium that use for wigglewarts, and the 7' heavy that I used for big football jigs until I got the Cara Head Turner for Christmas. I had several of the St. Croix Mojos before I got the first Bucco. I ended up selling most of the Mojos to a couple of buddies and replaced them with Falcon rods. I would use the Bucco rods for moving baits and stick with the Cara T7 rods for dragging the bottom where the feel is important with the exception of the Cara Reaction T7 Jerkbait Special. It is one sweet rod for throwing stickbaits. The next rod I am going to try out is the Lowrider 6'8" MH AOY for throwing square bill cranks up the river. I hate to admit it but I have a bad tackle and equipment addiction. I guess there are worse things to be addicted to though. I hope all of this rambling helped.
