redbud Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 NICE. That fish could easily eat anything I caught yesterday. Great job on light tackle. What a rush you must have had when you first saw her.
Sam Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 That's a GREAT catch! Congrats. I'm still trying to adapt Bill's "The huge fish seemed to rise from the center of the tree in somewhat of a mystical appearance" thing to a 16" slab crappie. I know it can be done!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 13, 2010 Root Admin Posted February 13, 2010 Had to post this fish on our front page... great catch!
tapout Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Oh yeah, that fish would make any fisherman enjoy any weather. Nice. I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar
bjovan Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 That is a awesome fish and Bill you story rate a close second. Great weekend to all.
Whack'emGood Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Bill, wasnt to cold. Just right today. only couple bites, partner lost one quality fish, released one 16", picture was the only bite I got. 7lb. Way to go Jason! It doesn't get any better than that my friend. I'm out on the road right now, so I guess I'll have to live through your experience... yep, that one will keep me for awhile. Keep in touch man. "Success builds confidence, and you have to learn to trust your instincts and forget about fishing the way a tournament is supposed to be won. I'm going to fish my style and make it work for me." -KEVIN VANDAM "Confidence is the best lure in your tackle box." -GERALD SWINDLE "A-Rig? Thanks, but no thanks. If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)
Jason Essary Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Thanks guys, just right place right time. Not my biggest of the rock but biggest for a couple years. To me its like hunting, you will never catch one like it sitting on the couch at the house. Cold, rain, snow, wind; just take the chance and go...
