Members cooter
This 31", 11 lb. brown was also caught on the upper white on Thursday. I don't think she has found many shad to eat lately. The poor thing looks like she was starving to death. I released her. Hopefully she will find something to eat and fatten up a bit before someone else has the thrill of catching and RELEASING her again.
drew03cmc
It is a legal fish, and if someone wanted to keep it, they reserve the right to do so, without harassment from "conservationists" who hold fish out of the water for extended periods just to get a great picture. snagged in outlet 3
I've seen other browns that look like that in the White. I think some of them just stay more streamlined than others. Nice catch!!! Did she fight hard? What did you catch her on? Snagged
drew03cmc
?? Are you just heading off an attack? Thanks for posting the pic- great catch! Yes, in response to the RELEASED line of the post. I saw that the fish was photographed on a dock, meaning the fish was in a livewell or something for awhile apparently, and that can stress a fish to the point of death as well. Snagged Hey snagged, I was just kinda following up with hotdawg that the fishing was excellent up there and it looks like some shad had come through. I tried to put a little humor about the fish being hungry part. We started at the catch and release area where all the fish we caught had a big swelled belly. The further down we got, the slimmer they got. We threw white 1/16 oz jigs up there, and below the park I swithed to brown. We stayed that way down to stetsons, and the brown did seem to catch more than the white. The fish in the pic did bite the brown jig. One boat we talked to said they caught 37 browns thursday, 8 over 20", and all on stickbaits.
