Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 18, 2010 Root Admin Posted February 18, 2010 Talked to a friend who knows his stuff. Said they were in Shoal Creek yesterday on some early crappie spots and said the water was 36 degrees. Caught 20 with 8 keepers in 20-25 feet of water but wasn't put to their par. Water has to warm up into the low 40's to be better. Will slow the whites down too. By this time last year, they were really getting on the whites up in these creeks but the water is much colder this year.
Dutch Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I fished from Beaver Creek to Yocum today. All over the water was 39° and the fishing was less than good.
Ham Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 cajunangler and I fished out of Beaver Creek down to below K dock. It was our first time on that section of the lake. We fished about six hours and caught three "keeper" spots. We saw water from 39-40 degrees and were less than warm all day. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future.
