went to a meeting about the gas drilling in the fayetteville shale. seem the big gas company's don't give a dam about our water quality and back wood streams. with silt run off as the lease of the worries, or making dams for big trucks to cross small tributaries. (a land owners creek stoped flowing.) did you know they inject THERE home brew of toxic materials deep into the ground?thousads of gallons,85 trucks lined up to dump and have the right not to divulge the contains of this? I'll have some more on this . it's a big problem that is being kept on the down low . the game and fish have a damage report due out about some big fish kills, from a land owner that is being threatened for taking photos, and reporting the problems. anyone in the "DAMAGE AREA'S " SEEN ANY OF THIS??

There is a company I did some work for near here in Brewer MO. called Frac Tech. They mine sandstone out of the property and crush it into sand. It is one of the components that they inject into the structure along with water and pressure. There is something else they add to make it flow better.

Side effects are usually groundwater disappearing, site disturbance, and sinkholes. It is a cost prohibitive process, I would think with oil prices low it would be idle right now.

That's what you get with "drill baby, drill." Kinda makes you want the drilling to stay in the desert on the other side of the planet...I do anyway.
