I think the best bang for your buck is the Shimano Citica E. If you can squeeze another $20 or so in your budget. They retail for $119. Properly maintaned this reel will last forever. Pair it with a St. Croix Mojo split grip rod and you have a quality little all around setup for an ecomical price.

Volabass,

A reel is a personal preference thing. The ones you found might be fine. I agree with stlfisher and think a Shimano Citica would be better. It is here..My link

Actually, although I've never used the reels you listed, I've been fairly happy with the Bass Pro reels I've owned. They are made for BPS by one or another of the major reel manufacturers (varies from year to year and model to model, depending upon who is willing to make the best deal with BPS). I've had two BPS spinning reels that have been pretty decent, and I also own and use three of their Prolite Finesse casting reels and like them. But the Prolite reels are now discontinued, and that points up one of the possible problems with buying a BPS brand (or Cabelas brand, for that matter) reel--if the deal they have with the manufacturer of that reel expires, the reels disappear, and quite possibly spare parts for repairing them will soon disappear as well. The good thing is that, since it's a BPS reel, they often put them on sale, and when they get discontinued if you're alert you can often pick them up for a discounted price. I got my first Prolite reel for $70 when they were switching to a "new and improved" version, got the "new and improved" model a year later for $80 during a sale, and picked up a third one for $70 when they discontinued it. Those prices were all $30 to $50 off retail.

I bought one of the extreme casting reels about two years ago and it crapped out on me after 6 months of hard use. I would not recommend buying one. I don't know about the pro-qualifier, it may be a decent reel.

I know shimano has a good quality reels, citica has a good quality and price too, but here in Italy I can find this reel in every fishing shop at plus or minus the same price of USA...! and if i shop here I can also use the guaranty while if I buy it in USA not...!

I asked you if you have some BPS reels and what are your opinions about that.. here in Italy we think that BPS reels have a fairly good quality with a very interesting price.. but here very ferw people have BPS reels because the shops don't seel that reels..

and what do you think about this one.. the revews are very good...
