Guest csfishinfool Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Come on, that's funny. You got to admit that if none of them had a sense of humor we would all be complaining about that also. [/quote Oh I laughed about it hard, I splashed the heck out of them with the canoe paddle. They deserved something after that lol.

This fish, as far as I know, is still alive and goes uninjured. Someday it will be catfish bait. FishinCricket Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 How many of you catch a limit of crappie or a big walleye or a big bass and pause a second to say Thank you Lord. I do everytime. Naw.. Maybe "Thank God for Rapala" or something.. You think my limit would have been bigger if I was thanking a deity for it? Meh, prolly not... cricket.c21.com
loo10 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Sometime it is a bit better if they don't have sense of humor. While on the Eleven Point last year my buddy forgot his fishing license and relized it halfway down the river. I told him that if we were checked they can call and find out if you purchased one. Well sure enough we were checked they tried to call to confirm he bought one. They told us to go on down river and when they got ahold of the store where he bought it they would stop back by. They also said that he better of bought it for the right day, since he was an out of towner. Well about thirty minutes later the two agents run right up to us in there jet boat, jump up on the deck of there boat, and say " Alright boys, turns out you bought it for friday instead of saturday, were going to have to run you down river and take you back to the station....", then says " what do you think I should do about this" were like well obviosly let us go on a frickin technicality lol. About that time they jump back in the driver seat and say " ahhh were just screwin with you guys, your legal have a good trip."...not funny!!! PAIN + TIME = HUMOR I'm laughing now but wouldn't have been at the time. Too many thoughts of "You boys sure got a purty mouth. If this'n moves again, shoot that one." Stockton Lake Guide Service Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 Ann; Well put. I couldn't agree with you more. Bob;I feel like I owe you an apology. I agree with you fully on your recent comments about calling the sheriff's department. The only reason I brought up the event that happened to my wife and I was that if the law enforcement officer insists on taking your name you might reconsider. I would not want anyone to go through what happened to us. I do strongly agree with your earlier comments. It's all good, I'm going to post a new fishing report to hopefully end this one. Wow all cause I let some people keep some walleye Bob Bennett Stockton Lake Guide Servicehttp://fishstocktonlake.com 417-637-BASS"Our Service is Crappie" ”And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Wow all cause I let some people keep some walleye You shouldn't have changed your pic.. Just cause someone didn't have the stomach to view a stringer of fish.. Wait, what's the "OAF" symbol, again? Isn't it a stringer full of trout? You shouldn't be ashamed. See that LMB in my avatar? We kept it too.. cricket.c21.com
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 27, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 27, 2010 I have a question, as I am quite new to the site. If this is a fishing site for people who love to fish, why attack each other about opinions? We all have the same goal, get fish into the boat. What a person chooses to do with it after that is up to them. I do understand and will practise catch and release, but that is my opinion. Another thing, why do people always have to bring God into a subject when they want to make themselves seem more right then another person? Think about all the animals that are on the "gointg extinct" list or those that are now extinct. Man has not been a very good stuart of animals. So if God put man over the fish, maybe we should take better care to make sure that my grandson will be able to have the same luck we all enjoy on these waters. Now I am sure that being new, I will be critized for stating my opinion, but we are all out there because we enjoy fishing then coming back to our computers to talk about our adventures. Is it possible to do it without attacking each other? Man, am I behind. I don't read everything but when a simple fishing report goes to 3 pages, something's usually up. I know it was cold, snowy during most of this thread so may be that explains it. I've used Ann's reply as a quote because I wanted to address it and the response. She brings up some great points about our relationship with God and part of what He put us here for. The sole reason He put us here is for Relationship. Relationship branches off into several directions - relationship with Him, relationship with each other and relationship with His creation. He did give us dominion over the animals. We are to care for His creation but not at the expense of the first two- Him and each other. Ann's statement was her opinion and I thought well written except for a few misspelled words. I'd hate to be the person to go through the forum and point out every misspelled word on every post... especially Cricket's. Before we talk opinions over fishing, we all must love and honor each other whether you agree or disagree. You also have to give people some leeway cause you can't see their heart and they may be misstating their opinion or not being completely clear. Go the extra mile and make sure by asking a question if the statement isn't clear instead of jumping and regretting later. God is misused by so many, especially by the people who say they know Him. God is love. It's such a simple concept but so hard to grasp. Bob- drop the gold fish and put a real fish back in you avatar!
