Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 3, 2010 Root Admin Posted April 3, 2010 A member here on the forum can't log in on the forum, even after Dan and I both could using his user name and pw. He's even re registered and still can't get in. Any ideas? IE and Firefox

trizkid Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 i would agree that the cookies probaby arent enabled.....need to go into internet properties and enable em and try again TrIzzout
fishinwrench Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I was having problems like that (not on this site, but on a tech forum). I tried everything I could think of, but what fixed the issue was disabling "windows cardspace". Here's how you do it. Start / Run / type: services.msc / Enter / locate: "windows cardspace" / double click it / select "disable" / apply / close all open windows / restart / It fixed my problem on that site, and also made accuweather load more reliably (before that, clicking Accuweather was a crapshoot. but now it loads right away, everytime.)

Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 17, 2010 Author Root Admin Posted April 17, 2010 He still can't log in. We've created new accounts and everything. Don't know what the problem is.
jdmidwest Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 It sounds as if the firewall or adblocker is preventing him from logging on. Is he at home or at work? Can he install a different browser? Is his caps lock on? Has he ever used a forum? Is there a pop up blocker installed? Is he getting any errors?
