:yellowcard: "It's On!" Will post the pic's when I can catch my breath, but they are on the "Turd-Worm," Big Time.

12ft. to 16ft. and in the pockets, gravel and chunk. Would be really unfair to say a number we caught today on a 10 hr. trip. Yesterday fishing the same water, 8 fish and 1 keeper in 5 hrs. I went from Zero to Hero, and it was absolutely nothing I did, they just moved up and starting Feeding.

I tried to fish a little today to just keep the boat in the correct depth, and really did not have time to get a bait in the water, as Allie and Ryan had a fish on from start to finish. The fish were just inhaling the Zoom Fish Dr. In Watermellon Candy. "Just try and get that color?"

I dragged a shakey head, and I could not pull the head away from them fast enough that they didn't swallow it clear down. Just quit because of it. When you had a bite today, the bait was "Gone" they ate it to their butt.

Surface temps where I was fishing started out this AM at 54 and ended the day at 58 degree. It is just time, reguradless of temps.

Get out there, they are on the Banks. :touched:

Now you tell me. The Mrs pulled a green fish doctor out of the bag and said she thought it would work. I told her to quit screwing around and get the grub tail in the water! I hope she does not read this post!

I feel like this is something I should already know, but, whats a "turd-Worm".

Little green worms...fish docs, fries, etc. In poop green colors.

Unless our esteemed Mr. Babler has a different definition :huh1: ? Hopefully not one that calls for a colon prep kit.

Thanks for the post Bill. Great to hear the time is upon us. Were you on K's, brownies? Now if we can get a cold night or two to stretch things out until I get down next week we will be golden...

D5, you described it to a T. As D5 said, any green/brown small cylindrycal drag worm from a finess to a cendpide, to a Fish Dr. to a Dead Ringer. Any of the Hundreds of others. Worm is usually 4 or 5 inch and really have no idea why they like it but fished on either a split shot, mojo, or a lite Carolina Rig ie 1/8,3/16,1/4,3/8, the worm is splended for staging fish moving on getting ready to do the deads. Did not fish lakewide yesterday, I was on the upper end, but I did hear they were positioned outside the moss on the midlake to lower section.

We had 1 18 inch brown bass and a few others, mostly largemounh and KY Bucks. The SMJ was also a buck and was pretty light in weight, but he pulled like a madman. I thought Ryan had an absolute monster. He bend the T7 Cara double. A very nice 3 pound LM was our big fish, but lots and lots of 15 to 15.5 K's. Some of them just skyrocked out of the water.

Try and get some pic's up soon.

Guesses..

1) Zoom bulk special order

2) Rolling your own (or having someone else do the same)...easy bait to pour, may have to if they actually stop making w'melon red flake

3) V&M french fry...pretty much the same bait, more colors

I have a pack and a half left from last year :touched: maybe it will make it through the year. Bill thanks for the great report. Glad to hear. Went last night for a few, fishing the points as Don had said. Found lots of fish, most were so small that I couldnt get them hooked. 8 to 10" kentucks. would slam the grub and couldnt hook most of them.

Same here, throughout the year I lookout for them and load up when I see them. That way, when the bites on, I don't mind blowing through 'em! ;)

The tackle shop up on 13 in KC last year (can't think of the name) had a box on the counter of special run Fish Doctors in Watermelon Candy they had made for 'em. They went like hotcakes! :D

I found them around the same temps and depth Friday above Shell Knob. Didn't have a shakey head, but would eat the Eakins jig I was dragging.
