Sore Thumbs Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 - I wondered the same thing, the anticipation is killing me. Not sure how much rain they got, But, I'll know in a few hours. - Be on the lookout for the ole OAF stickers and say howdy! U fishin Sunday? If so where? I'm goin up aunt's creek. Had awesome luck there last time. Just wondered if was gonna be too swift or too stained.

But, if we stink it up around KC, we may head up there. - I'll be manning an old silver/blue Basscat with OAF stickers on the outboard and there'll be 3 of us squeezed in the boat. - Doesn't look like Table Rock will be pulling much water, but Beaver will be moving some from about 3-10 p.m. (subject to change)
Members kre11 Posted May 16, 2010 Members Posted May 16, 2010 Anyone have any input on preferred color of spooks? I have tried Bone, Clear, Black Shiner (black+Chrome), and Foxy Shad, but none of these can touch the G Finish Shad. The only other variable is that the G Finish Shad has been fished on 12 lb test, while the others are on 14. I don't know if the line would make that much of a difference, or if it is simply the color.

Think you could probably throw silver flitter or the blue shiner and do as well as any others most of the year. Also like clear with ribs and red head, black, chrome for bright days, perch or frog colors sometimes around docks. You might just have foud a "pet" spook that works a little better than some of the others.
