fishinwrench Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Not sure about TR, but in Lake of the Ozarks they are way up in the creeks spawning right now....by the thousands ! I think they seriously need to be thinned out, their numbers in this lake are rediculis and the dang things live FOREVER.

More poeple should really look into it; it's a blast!
mclothier1 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Saw a HUGE one up in Piney Creek, the thing broke the surface right off the bow of my boat... and I about lost two pounds!!
Champ188 Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Spearfisher, less than two weeks ago they were thick and even chasing our topwaters just below Holiday Island. The flats between Holiday Island Marina and the old Devil's Dive Resort were loaded with them.
Gone Fishing Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Saw a 5 footer floating by Cape Fair Marina Sunday. There was a film of trash up by the Virgin bluff stretching all the way across the lake then also. The carp were having a hay day from one side of the lake to the other side in the debree. They were also thrashing around in the back of any pocket. If the gar deal goes bad you might go after all the carp. That does sound like fun though.
Buzz Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Last year my son and I found a bunch back in Wolf Pen. I think you could have walked across thier backs. Some of them were huge too. I think it was in July, but it might have been in June. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
rps Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Champ has it right. Many, some very large, at entrance to Holiday Island and several other locations down lake. HI has a free public ramp with large parking area.
