dtrs5kprs Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Sorry! I hate giving out specific points and usually PM that kind of info. That particular spot isn't much of a secret though. If there were sloping gravel points in Aunt's Creek I would mention it. Maybe not! No problem. Not like I am there to fish it right now anyway. You'd be surprised at how many boats run right by there. I've spent entire weeks going back and forth on those places. Kind of a nothing place for a favorite spot though isn't it? Helps to not be in a hurry in there. As always, big thank you's to Mr. Babler for the specifics. Maybe with a little weather in the forecast for next week the brown fish will get on the jig, we can hope at least.
techo Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 The jig bite has been odd this year. I always have an Eakins jig tied on with a double tailed grub, I went with Bill Babler (Bull Shoals) earlier this year and took a rod with one tied on. I never ever go on Table Rock without it. Yet this year it hasn't produced for me. I have had a few little bumps, but I think we have only caught one fish all year on it. Just an odd deal for us. Tim Carpenter

Oh yeah....Charlie Campbell told me about that spot. I think he tells everyone though! Tim Carpenter
dtrs5kprs Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Great. I suppose that is also where Van Dam always fishes when they are here. Maybe the big boats will keep some folks out . You all have a good week, will be after them myself on Monday.
