Members bluffboy Posted June 23, 2010 Members Posted June 23, 2010 Guys , We must support ANGLERS EDGE in Ozark and every other mom and pop store for that matter. We lost Mark in Nixa (Anglers' Edge now in Rodgersville) which was a crime. Are we talking about the inventory of the big box store?...no. Are we talking about the long check out lines of you know who?...no. Are we talking about a teenager who has never heard of green pumpkin trying to help you? ...no. As with every other good thing in fishing, if we do not support it we will lose it. Ty, the owner of ANGLERS EDGE, is the real deal and has the product, the knowledge, and advice to help us all catch more fish. You can go to Pro Cuts and get a crappy hair cut or you can go to the corner barber and get a cut, shine and shave and walk out feeling o.k. about spending a few hard earned bucks. For the record, I have no hair and this is not a paid advertisment.
techo Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Sorry about your hair. I guess I should stop complaining about the grey in mine. I will check out the one on Ozark. Thanks EP. Mark is a wizard with the spinner bait. Most of the ones I have are made by him. Tim Carpenter
Champ188 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I've always said you can't get a free cup of coffee and hang out with your fishin' buds at Wal-Mart or even Academy or BPS for that matter. I'm with ya bluffboy on supporting the little guys. And don't let Techo get you down about the hair deal ... I don't have much left either.
Gilly Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 [...........about the hair deal ... I don't have much left either.] Here's a weird one for ya, wouldn't recommend it though. My brother sustained a head injury in January. He's very slowly recovering, hopefully we'll get most of him back. But they twice had to remove his skull cap (brain pressure sky rocketed) and finally left it off. As of now he is growing a full head of hair. Totally bald....to needing a hair cut. Go figure. www.drydock516.com
Members tunchi Posted June 24, 2010 Members Posted June 24, 2010 Gilly, glad your brother is doing well. At least he has hair! Hopefully he will fully recover or at least close to it. Becky B
Members JEVPhoenixBass Posted June 26, 2010 Members Posted June 26, 2010 Mark moved to Ava and then back to Rogersville where he is now more due to the opportunity he had selling his building in Nixa. He had a buyer make several offers until the one arrived that "he could not refuse"! Need to have Mark tell you the story to truly app recite it. He even delayed or returned early from a vacation to close the deal, not sure which. Mark now does mostly consignment boats and such at his current location. One question.... What's Ty's last name?? If it's who I think it is he's a great guy that I used to go to Church with in Ozark. Great trout guide too!
RSBreth Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Angler's Edge @facebook Across from McDonalds. I haven't been in there yet, but will sometime soon, if nothing else just to see what he has. We also have a new indoor shooting range opening here in Ozark next week. It's almost like a city.
Members moduck38834 Posted July 1, 2010 Members Posted July 1, 2010 Since we are plugging local businesses....might as well throw mine in the mix.... Sportsmans Factory Outlet, 2333 E. Bennett Street, Springfield, MO 65804 (417)-881-1635, M-F 9-6 at this point. I have 157 colors of DD22's in stock at the moment, a full line of Zoom(including special runs--sorry guys, am currently sold out of Black Emerald Lil Critter/Big Critter Craws--won't happen next year), GYCB, etc, etc, etc..... here is the link to the website, Sportsmans Factory Outlethowever the website does not show our special purchase (ridiculous priced) items that are for walk in customers only. Tight Lines, Chris
