fishinwrench Posted June 16, 2010 Author Posted June 16, 2010 I thought nobody went there after they found high concentrations of do-do in the water? I heard the browns were biting. SIO3 Oh that, well you see, the powers that be have changed their minds about the do-do content after realizing what it might do to the tourist economy. They have a new line of $#!T that they are reporting now...that puts the do-do concentration in the lake to shame. It's funny because they call themselves the "lake preservation group", a group spearheaded mostly by bank presidents and newspaper owners and journalists, and their mission statement clearly says that they are "committed to Preserving the REPUTATION of the lake". Not a single word in the mission statement about preserving water quality. Real Funny hu ? But for some reason not many are laughing.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I actually opened the thread thinking it was something different. Tonight we have an event called "Savor, taste of St Peters". Pay your $20 and taste the offerings of more than 35 local resturants. Plus the local brew houses and wineries provide all you can drink. Live music tops it all off. Well, that and a good cigar while girl-watching. It's the best deal in town for a 20 spot. We don't have waves nearly that big though. SIO3
Members LakeOz Posted June 30, 2010 Members Posted June 30, 2010 If the 62 ft cruisers 6ft wake don't swamp you then you might be ran over by a 200mph off shore racer like in the link below. No wonder it is rated the most dangerous lake in the United States by the Coast Guard. http://lakeexpo.com/articles/2010/06/29/neighborhood/36.txt
