denjac Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 We always recomend the Branson Belle. It has it all, good food, good entertainment, and plenty of breaks to go outside and enjoy the cruise. Alot of bang for the buck. If you want to start a freak show, I will work for you. I will be the guy who can insert his foot into his mouth. Both of them on a good day. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. stlfisher Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 hard to beat go carts and mini golf! I second that. I loved those two as a kid...along with the the water parks. Shoot maybe just do all three in one place...that should attract a crowd.
Zack Hoyt Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 In the years of gong to Branson(grew up in Harrison), I have only seen two shows. Played arcade, mini golf, and Imax alot. Zack Hoyt OAF Contributor Flies, Lies, and Other Diversions
denjac Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I feel theres a need for an eatery that would open up for breakfast early to accommodate fisherman. Say 4am? Would have to have a big parking lot though to accommodate rigs. On another note a friend of mine Dad in Calif. built a building called the mystery spot. It was built into the side of a hill, and everything was built on a slant. Water appeared to run uphill ect, Kinda like Grandpas mansion at SDC. He cleaned up. Wayne SW/MO Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Back when we lived farther away and had kids with us, the thing we looked at most often was the time cost ratio. As long as everyone could enjoy them selves then the amount of time spent compared to cost was important. Miniature golf was always high on the list. Silver Dollar city is a good example, or was, when for $25 a head you could spend a day and a half there. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Bman Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I am unable to vote! I come for the fishing! Never been to a show. After a day of fishing, need a good place to eat and sleep. Taney has that! To me, Taney Co. is all about the fishing, hospitality, and eats. The only good line is a tight line
DaddyO Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Go Karts and Mini-Golf. The girls like to shop while I fish. Other than that, its the food and the shows. DaddyO We all make decisions; but, in the end, our decisions make us.
jdmidwest Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I too was unable to vote. When we came to Taney, we stayed at the State Park Campground, cooked most of our own meals, and fish. What little time we did not spend on the river was hitting the fly shops and Bass Pro. We did hit the strip one night for a meal, saw all of the places crowded, went to a store and bought some steaks to grill at the camp. I don't like crowds, shows, country music, or amusement parks. I don't golf, and I don't wait long lines to eat at a restaurant. Denjac, the freak show is already there, they already have a Walmart.... Gatorjet Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Well, it takes away from my fishing time but that's OK. You didn't include my wife's 3 favorite attractions in Branson. Craft Shops, Craft Shops, and of course, Craft Shops!!! Real men go propless!
