KCRIVERRAT Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Hey guys and gals, fishing with a guy next weekend I haven't seen in two years. He's like a little brother to me. I have hit the Jacks Fork and many spots in SW Missouri the last few years with Chief and Buzz. Looking to hit some of my old stomping grounds like the NF or Bryant for some smallmouth. Looking to head down early saturday morning and head back after we finish up monday. Gonna camp on the river two nights. Any reports for the NF (Hebron to Hammond) or Bryant (Hodgson to Warren Bridge) would be appreciated. I hate the fact neither of these streams have no designated trophy areas. I do know a spot on the upper NF that always produces a nice smallie. If there are any other suggestions for a smallie float besides what I'm mentioning... chime in! Thx... There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

gotmuddy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 If your dead set on fishing that area I would hit up bryant creek. I have heard good things. I personally would float from pyatt to the slab for a 3 day float and just go slow. either that or float rush to buffalo city. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

joeD Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Crooked Creek. This was caught 2 weeks ago between Pyatt and Kelley's. Many more just like it. BUT, there's nothing wrong with Bryant, NFOW, or any other smallmouth river. Go where you want. Don't be a politician and let opinion polls guide your choices. Instead, say: "I wanna go HERE." Then go.

Remember Abandoned River Ranch? Know the lower JF very well. Gonna hit a three mile stretch and fish it for about 11 hours saturday. The last half we'll watch the bikinis and their dumbass boyfriends, husbands, etc. Believe sunday we'll either float the Current down to Powder Mill or Blue Spring. My other option is the 11PT. sunday. Gonna talk to the locals I know. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
