You've probably heard about the flight attendant who got in a confrontation with a passenger, then bolted by deploying the escape chute. As a frequent flyer I can't tell you the number of times I've heard the pilots and flight attendants announce over the intercom that the flight attendants primary mission is the safety and comfort of the passengers. This paticular flight attendant left his post, so to speak, leaving his passengers and other flight attendants to deal with this irate passenger. I don't see anything heroic about it at all.

The only way I could consider someone being a hero is if they put their own life in danger to save someone else. The men and women in the armed forces are hero's. Firefighters who go into burning buildings to save people are hero's. Cops who put their lives at risk to save someone else are hero's. Although kind of stupid, the guy who jumps into a raging river to save another person is a hero.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

This guy is definitely not a hero. There are many out there, myself included, who can identify with how he felt at the time. I'm not saying that makes what he did any better. Everybody has days where they just want to explode and quit their job, but most go home, calm down, and do it all over again the next day. Bottom line is he should've handled himself in a more professional manner.

Yeah, and now he wants his job back? Good luck HERO.....

If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
