denjac Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Talked to Donna yesterday and James had just gotten out of surgery. Everything had went well. They thought they got all the cancer . He was still in recovery when we spoke and havent gotten any updates since. My prayers are with both of them and hope for a speedy recovery. I think I will be in charge of his physical therapy, put a fishing rod in his hand and one and two and one and two, and one and two. Gotta get him toughened back up for the Homer Sloan Oct. 2nd. motoman Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Get him whooped back into shape den, and keep us posted! Thanks for the update. - I've yet to meet Champ and Donna in person, but the few IM chats we've had, speak volumes for the kinda guy he is. I look forward to catching up with him one of these days!
Donna G Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Surgery went well. They were able to spare 75-90% of his kidney. He is in quite a bit of pain and had a rough night and this morning is not much better. He has had several doses of morphine and anti-nausea medicine. Hopefully he'll feel better later and able to walk. He is supposed to walk four times a day. We definitely won't be going home today. Maybe tomorrow. Quillback Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Champ, I am hoping you have a quick recovery! I noticed you live here in Bella Vista, as you probably know there's quite a few walking trails here, and it looks like you'll be doing some walking, I like the one over by the Loch Lomond dam, maybe I'll see you and Donna there some day.
