Looks Like The Bank Fishing For The Brown Run Is Ruined Again This Year!

The storm that just made landfall in the gulf is predicted to dump some rain on us for the next two days. I think that it is still early enough in the season as not to affect the major run in october. Floodgates at the end of this month would spell disaster, once again, as in the past two years.

The storm went into South Texas but the wet side well to the east near Houston only got about 6" of rain with an isolated area getting over 10". It looks to be moving fast so it shouldn't stall out dumping big rains. Areas in South Texas where the storm center went over had less than 2".

It's a crap shoot, it's early and the weather unpredictable. The last big storm was a good example, it dumped record amounts of rain, but not much of it in the TR watershed. The bulk of the watershed is Cassville east, NW Arkansas east of 71 and south and west of Springfield and 65. If it doesn't rain heavy in most of this area the lake doesn't respond significantly.

The temperatures have to be taken into account also. If its unusually cold they will generate more power.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

This one will probably open the gates, but it's still awhile off until the run.
