Members 3inonegod Posted September 14, 2010 Members Posted September 14, 2010 Jockey, You should know by now that the folks on this forum won't 'really help' a visitor. This site is a good old boys forum. I only fish down there a few times a year, however, I would recomend the following: Top water in mornings (I use Zara Spook) PB&J Jigs shad looking 4" grub spinner bait and plastics deep when the sun is high Hope this helps
Ranger Z22 Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 A very good report--posted each week, by Eric Prey, can be found on his website, www.focusedfishing.com. Also Pete Wenners has a video report each Thurday on his website, www.hookedonbass.com. Both will give you a good start to your trip. z22
denjac Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Jockey, You should know by now that the folks on this forum won't 'really help' a visitor. This site is a good old boys forum. I guess if you cant read this forum wont help much. There are hundreds of posts with a ton of information. I resent that comment. Help is what this forum is all about. Trout Commander Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 If it were me I would also read though recent posts and posts from around the same time in years past. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Sam Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 You should know by now that the folks on this forum won't 'really help' a visitor. This site is a good old boys forum. 3inonegod - If that's what you think, you haven't been around here much. There's more freely given help on this forum than any other place I know. Look at the post I made in the Upper Bull Shoals section today about how I found a limit of crappie yesterday. I've got no reason in the world to share that information except to try and help somebody else have a good trip - and others here post good, helpful information a lot more often than I do. You're all wet.
Champ188 Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 3inonegod, you've been a member since May 2009 and have a total of 19 posts. Doesn't sound like you're sharing much info yourself.
techo Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Wow! To have a screen name like 3inonegod and then say something like that is a bit ironic. Maybe get with Phil and see if you can change it to Thomas? Stock jockey-The week prior to coming you might want to pay close attention to the posts. If you are already dropping cash on a visit to Table Rock then a half day with a guide is a real good investment to make sure the week is successful. With that in mind....the lake changes every day or week, especially in the spring and fall. There are quite a few areas close to KC area, Schooners is starting to pick up, there are some nice deeper points around Mill Creek and both Cows have some nice points and/or bluffs nearby. As I said...when you get really close to time. watch the posts and drop a PM to one of the regulars and they will often give exact locations to visitors. Tim Carpenter
T-RockJaws Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 I usually try to post at least once a week and many times 2 or 3 times per week with what is or is not working for me. A lot of the time, I can learn as much by knowing what hasn't been working... I typically post for the upper white river area above the Shell Knob bridge and up in the Kings river. I cannot give you any specific points to fish in the KC area, but most of the time if it works in one area it is a good bet that it will work in another area. I always try to give as much info as possible since I owe most of my success to others here on this forum!
dwiebenga Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Wow! This is maybe the most fishing friendly site I know of. I only get down 3-4 times a year, but you all have always been helpful, and I have consistantly caught fish listening and reading your posts. Nothing but knowledge here! 3inonegod, I am sorry you feel this way....BUT READ! It is all here! These are wonderful men and women, and we all share a passion that we must share with old and young alike!
