Nitroman Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 No Sir. My wife & I purchased the resort in July of 2002. We were born & raised in Chicago. In 1976 I bought my 1st. BASS BOAT ( TERRY ABF 17 ) & came down to Table Rock & fell in love with it. Since then I have fished all over the USA & CANADA but every year either spring or fall I came back to Table Rock as it was always my favorite. So, when the time came ( 2002 ) & all the pieces fell in place we made the move & when my time comes as I did with my fathers ashes mine will also be spread around Table Rock. Gary Lange Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Nitroman, I figure you know about Mickey's in Branson West for Chicago Hotdogs, Beef and Sausage Combo's and Maxwell Street Polish and other great sandwiches. Mr. G's for Chicago Style Pizza in Branson and Rosati's in Springfield is another great Chicago Style Pizza place. I move down here is 2005 and found Mickey's and then Mr. G's and Rosati's opened a couple years ago in Springfield. Rosati's is on Fremont off of Battlefield behind Heritage House. Respect your Environment and others right to use it!

We also have our own version of "Chicago-style" politics! But, instead of Lake Michigan, the bodies end up in Table Rock Lake!

Gary: Thanks for the info. will check them out. Couple of things we do miss about Chiucago & the real " CHICAGO FOOD " is one of them. Nothing like true Chicago DOGS-BEEF-SAUSAGE-POLISH-PIZZA & lets not forget GYROS. DAMM now I am really hungry. The only other thing we miss about Chicago is the BLACKHAWKS !!!!!!! I don't think they know what hockey is once you get west of Saint Louis on HWY 44. Rock View Resort Table Rock Lake Greg Pope, Owner/Operator & Fishing Guide

Trout Commander Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Kinda like they dont know how to play baseball on the north side of Chicago. You'll notice "a losing baseball team" was not on the list of things missed from chicago I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. Gary Lange Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Greg, when the season starts for the Blackhawks check www.firstrow.net and watch the games on your computer for free. I have been watching the Chicago Bears on it this year and it is pretty neat. Mickey's is on 76 about 2 blocks east of Bus. 13 across from the McDonalds. Billfo Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 16.5 red lund with a fifty Yama ? Ill keep an eye peeled !! Interesting question. I have not yet brought my computer down on fishing trips to the lake because I focus on fishing the majority of the day and eat and sleep when I am not fishing. But once in a while I wish I could check e-mails. For me a week without the internet is perfectly OK as I am retired and can live without it. For others, its quite important especially those who are still working and for other reasons as well. I will have to check the Panera in Branson next time to see if they have free net service there. BTW, I float a 16.5 red lund with a fifty Yama on the pond when I come down. Might see you sometime. Email me Red-Right-Returning is for quitters !
