Flippin Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I fished from 11:00- 6:00 with only a short LM for the day. Caught it on a blade next to a ledge. No wind and blue bird skies or maybe I don't have a clue what I am doing. Either way it was humbling day.
denjac Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Shoulda stayed down at cape fair ! Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~
techo Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 True and to the point! Nothing to see in Aunt's Creek! Shell Knob and down by the dam is hot right now. Tim Carpenter
johnboy2bfishin Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 what part of shell knob is productive. looking to go in morning just trying to figure out where to go
Spinnaker Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I wish I had been one of the lucky ones that had the hot hits near the dam. I tried the jig and grub all day. I should have tried the spinner. I did manage to catch an 18 inch smj and another 2 hits but my usual spots were not hot today. It was a beautiful day nonetheless. I am back in KC now. Hope you enjoy the fishing next week.
techo Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 I am sorry. Sort of a running joke to stay away from Aunts Creek as I love it around there. I haven't fished by the dam or Shell Knob. I haven't been able to fish much lately, but did get out late morning until two yesterday. We didn't fish Aunt's Creek, but just outside it. We caught a bunch of shorts. Used the Eakins jig (of course). Our fish were in about 18 feet of water. It was so nice being out there, but a little choppy and a little chilly. Plan on leaving in a few minutes to go today. Hope everyone has a good day! Tim Carpenter
Spinnaker Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Ahhhhh! Now I am getting the real picture. I think I know where I am going to fish next time!
