denjac Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Jason called me on his way home from Hickory. He was all excited telling me about the day you guys had. That was a nice brown, and like you said it came out of Capps. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. Buzz Posted November 22, 2010 Author Posted November 22, 2010 Jason called me on his way home from Hickory. He was all excited telling me about the day you guys had. That was a nice brown, and like you said it came out of Capps. Jason is a great guy. I really enjoy fishing with him. I think he has a totally different idea about Capps now. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
duckydoty Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Niced report and great job guys! Them's some nice fish! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
ollie Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I was looking for you down there. I was with a friend in a red ford ranger. We saw your truck at the mill. I caught several bows and one brown that was about 15". We were further downstream than you it sounds like until we hit the falls around noon. I'll see you on Sunday and hopefully they will cooperate like they did today! I was thinking the same thing as you today. Cloud cover with wind= bigger fish! It was brutal out there though so we took cover further down. I'm wondering if we will be successful this coming weekend however. Today was perfect for the bigger ones though. ps. did you pick up all those Modelo Cans? Wheatenheimer Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Nice job Buzz!!!!!! That is one beautiful Brown. Looked to be at least 20+ inches and maybe 4-5 pounds, maybe more? Awesome job! Can't wait to fish with you again!
Danoinark Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 That is a goodern for sure!!!! Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
ness Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 No, not my beer can. My nephew and I did pick up a bunch of trash around the park and downstream when we were there in Oct. Nice place, and the locals take great care of it. Too bad there's so many knuckleheads who can't pick up after themselves. But hey, let's keep this thread upbeat! John
Trout Commander Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 WOWZA. I'm going to have to go over to the Olliefest thread and delete my post about the points system after seeing the fish you catch Buzz! I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
ollie Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Ah, but see JDC you could win the whole thing with a fish like that one! Let's see, 5 points for the biggest and then 3 for being over 15". You would only have to catch the one and I would have to catch 8 dinks to make it even! Guys, don't take this creek for granted, there are bigger ones in there than that too! Wish now I would have found you Buzz.
