Bill. I just thought I would say thank you for all the information that you do share with us. You make a living doing this and have no obligation to share the info that it would take a lifetime for others to achieve. You have nothing to prove to anyone in here or anywhere for that matter. I think I speak for everyone in here when I say that this Forum wouldn't be the same without you. Please don't let recent discussions keep you from continuing to share what you learn. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving.

Got that right, Sore Thumbs. And as for speaking your mind Bill, keep it up and so will I. One of the special things about this forum is that there's a standard of honesty and accountability to each other, and an understanding that it's OK if you don't catch fish every trip — whether you're a full-time guide or a twice-a-year novice. We learn just as much from folks not catching them and telling what they tried as we do from the good reports. Checking our egos at the door makes this a place to exchange information, not a braggin' board.

We've all benefitted greatly from Bill sharing his deep knowledge in much detail. Can't get that kind of info just anywhere.

Hey Champ. I forgot to tell you about another jig color that I was catching them on last Saturday. I tried a jig color that Chris said he ties for Stetson Blaylock of the FLW Tour. The color was a dark brown with purple tinsel. I tried it when the sun was out and didn't have much luck with it. Tried it again when it got cloudy and caught some fish with it. Looks like something Elton John might use, but it worked for me that day.

Sore Thumbs, no reason that purple-tinsel jig shouldn't work well on Table Rock. It got its start as a football jig on Beaver, where J.R. Beehler used to catch a lot of good fish on it. He used a Yamamoto cinnamon-purple flake double-tail on it.
