ollie Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Friend of mine who lives in Parkville sent me this one today. Here is the link to it in the Star. http://www.kansascity.com/2010/11/30/2487861/mountain-lion-photographed-in.html "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
jah Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I love the quote from the article....they're "just passing through to other states". How do they know that???
Members EddieRay Posted December 1, 2010 Members Posted December 1, 2010 I live in KC in Platte County. There have been a few reports that have turned out to be bobcats, etc. This one is for real this time. "The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance - it is the illusion of knowledge." dennis boatman Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 If they are passing through...I wonder where they are going? A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Trout Commander Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 If they are passing through...I wonder where they are going? This time of year I would have to say he was traveling home from visiting family for Thanksgiving. It appears as if he ate too much turkey and climbed the tree to take a nap. He looks perturbed by the person snapping the photo, not unlike the look of someone who was awaken by someone else changing the channel from the Lions game he fell asleep watching. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack

jdmidwest Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 One just passed thru the other day near Greenville according to neighbors who saw it cross the road. Looks like we traded off some more turkeys. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
skeeter Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I love the quote from the article....they're "just passing through to other states". How do they know that??? Yep, what an asinine statement that is. Did they radio collar one or several of them ? Don't think so. Seems there is enough livestock and deer to keep them happy right in the Show-me State.
