Members Troutguy Posted January 13, 2012 Author Members Posted January 13, 2012 Here's one of the KY boat plans guys... but not the one in the video above. That boat had two rockered ends and was nearly 16' long. http://fw.ky.gov/gifs/flatbottomboat.jpg
gotmuddy Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 That is pretty neat. I wish I had time to build one. I am kicking the idea around of making my own fiberglass riverboat though. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Members Dennis Ely Posted February 27, 2012 Members Posted February 27, 2012 Any update on the boat build?
Members Troutguy Posted November 17, 2012 Author Members Posted November 17, 2012 At last, after about a year of poor health, not much extra cash and working when I can to pay my bills... I'm going to begin work on the boat during the week after Thanksgiving. If I can have it ready by early spring I will be happy.
gotmuddy Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 thats awesome, I cant wait for a build thread everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Members trouthog Posted January 30, 2013 Members Posted January 30, 2013 i am new here, so hello... but i run an old holiday 20' 6" that they made in the early 70's in yellville on 235 some place.. i was born in 78 so the boat is older than me.. lol but its a 34" bottom outsides.. and its really stable, i was shocked, this is my first real jon boat built for the river... its old & kinda ugly, but it floats & gets me & my boys out till i can afford an upgrade... but in reading this i just wanted to pass along that the narrow is not too bad.. i take a 3,7 & 10 year old with me..
