FishinCricket Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Gavin's picture is in front of Ness' Hole I believe. All in one frame? Musta used a wide angle lens! cricket.c21.com
id10t Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 I didn't notice the tubing. That's probably a big help. Definitely a cool looking ride, and nice, neat work on the mods, too. Didn't mean to slam your project, just thinking out loud. Well done. Trust me there is not a question that did not run through my head thousands of times didn't and don't take any of the comments as slams. Thinking out loud is the way I get through life. Makes my wife crazy. The dogs don't seem to mind and my son just puts his head phones on.
jdmidwest Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 I would be snagging the lashing straps with a treble hook all of the time. But I can see how they would be handy for the long trips. Al Agnew Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Ouch. That's a good point, JD, and one I didn't think about. I KNOW I'd be snagging lures on the rope a lot. I guess it depends upon how you use and stow your rods.
flytyer57 Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Considering he put the rope in a clear plastic tubing it will not snag a treble hook as bad as a bare rope. And debarb those trebles and they won't be such a pain. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
