I didn't notice the tubing. That's probably a big help. Definitely a cool looking ride, and nice, neat work on the mods, too. Didn't mean to slam your project, just thinking out loud. Well done.

Trust me there is not a question that did not run through my head thousands of times didn't and don't take any of the comments as slams. Thinking out loud is the way I get through life. Makes my wife crazy. The dogs don't seem to mind and my son just puts his head phones on. :rolleyes:

I would be snagging the lashing straps with a treble hook all of the time. But I can see how they would be handy for the long trips.

Ouch. That's a good point, JD, and one I didn't think about. I KNOW I'd be snagging lures on the rope a lot. I guess it depends upon how you use and stow your rods.

Considering he put the rope in a clear plastic tubing it will not snag a treble hook as bad as a bare rope.

And debarb those trebles and they won't be such a pain.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
