snagged in outlet 3
I used to fish down there and I remember looking for a source but I don't think I found one. Maybe Phil knows of something. SIO3
Dutch
I called them one time and discussed it with a guy. He said since they were privately owned the orders came from a dispatcher phone call. They would have no idea when the generation would begin but lots of times they were told to generate a few hours after TR started up. If things have changed I don't know about it. Evolution
This won't tell you much but it may be helpful: My link. Like dutch mentioned, if TR is generating, Powersite should be too.
lonkm
I talked to a guy that works at the Powersite dam. There is no set times for them to run. He told me the best way to figute times was to look at Table rock and add two to three hours, according to how much Table rock is generating. If TR in not generating much, add 2 hrs, etc.
Members ozarkstripers.com
They are on demand only and are affected by tablerock or power demand. I have a link for generation on my website ozarkstripers.com that i check before i go down there but find that if tbr is generating then usually but not always powersite will generate.. And it usually does start about 3 hours later as mentioned above. Also quite commonly powersite is generating even though tbr is not. It is frustrating, I don't know how many times i got down there just as they turned it off. Wouldn't be bad if I lived closer. What I have noticed is that if it is real cold or if it is real hot then powersite usually gets on a pretty regular schedule to meet the power needs. Pray for enough rain to force the water over the dam its the only time you can rely on a current...
Members cabinman
I use the Southwest Power Administration site looking under generation schedule for Tablerock Lake then add a couple hours and it works most of the time. They sometimes follow a schedule you can count on for short periods of time. You may also call Empire during business hours and they will tell what Tablerock dam is doing that day.
