Members drath Posted February 17, 2011 Members Posted February 17, 2011 I pulled this pic off Google maps and circled the areas that I’d assume provide access near the Spring Branch. If anyone knows, please confirm. -D
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 The bottom circle is public at the park. But the top circle is actually owned by Sand Spring Resort. Instead, go across 64 to the other side, which is not visible on your photo, and that is the access Oneshot is talking about. Hope this makes sense. Pete
Members drath Posted February 17, 2011 Members Posted February 17, 2011 Snagged, Gotcha! Google maps is calling it County Road 64-999. It ends at a circle "turn around." Looks like there are a few pull offs/parking areas along the river. Sweet! Thanks
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 No Problem Drath. That's the canoe launch access. It's decent fishing there. BTW, Sand Spring has allowed me to fish their access when I asked them. Pete
ruthead Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 would a person want to go north or south once the spring meets the river? I think if u go north from hwy64 bridge u'd get into the canoer's. Any known public access's north past the canoe area? Anything to fish south of the 64 bridge? ruthead Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 drath and snagged-sorry guys. Was looking at google maps while u were posting. I know where ur talkin about now. We have a place right up the hill @ Circle J campground. Probably won't be many floaters on Easter weekend. oneshot-any spots up or downstream where you can get to the river publicy and which would be best up or downstream? Don't want to get onto someone's private property. BTW I see ur posts a lot on missouriwhitetails. "Pretty soon we may not have any rights left because it might infringe on someone's rights"
Members Newbie Fly Posted February 17, 2011 Members Posted February 17, 2011 3 spots I hit outside the park 1 are just across the bridge make a right park about 1/4 mile down some good water there.... 2.The access by NRO 3. The Barclay Access " I fish therefore I am"
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Not many people know but HoHum allows fishing for $3 "parking" fee if your not camping. Don't bother to go there after Memorial Weekend unless you like to PARTY!!!! Snagged
